And you thought rodeos were only for clowns, horses, and other livestock! Check this out:

On April 20th, PBA club members donated their time and bike mechanic skills to help local elementary kids have safe bikes to ride at a Plano elementary school Bike Rodeo. The PBA conducted “ABC Checks” (Air, Brakes and Chain) on over 75 kids’ bicycles at the Gulledge Elementary Bicycle Rodeo, held by the school PTA.  Bikes were checked for underinflated tires, loose handlebars, proper braking, chain oiling and proper seat height. The club also performed helmet adjustments to insure they were worn properly and educated kids and parents on the importance of wearing helmets. “Part of our bike club’s mission is to give back to the local community. By providing basic bike and helmet adjustments we help kids get more enjoyment from their bike riding experience. We also give their parents peace of mind that their children’s bikes are in working order to provide a safer ride.” said Terry Brcka, PBA President.
